One of the first most important things for any couple considering legal marriage in Bali to know is, that Indonesia will generally agree to marry any couple who hold one of the 5 religions recognised by this country (Protestant, Catholic, Moslem, Hindu, Buddhist) and actually prefer that the couple are of the same religious belief.
All foreign marriage applicants are required to present a “Certificate of No Impediment” or similar document declaring ‘freedom to marry’, issued by their Consulate or Embassy representative within Indonesia.
Legal Wedding Ceremony – Protestant
A Legal Ceremony in Bali generally consists of two separate parts. The first part is performed by a Minister, Priest or other religious representative whilst the second part, following immediately after the first, is performed by the Indonesian Government Registry Officials. It is the second of the two ceremony parts which makes your marriage legal and the Indonesian Government Registry Officials will not register and legalise your marriage until such time as a religious ceremony has taken place.

Commitment Ceremony
For couples wanting to celebrate their love and lifelong commitment to each other without any legal implications, the Commitment Ceremony will suit perfectly.
This simple but beautiful ceremony may be performed by either a Western or Balinese Official and you are free to use existing ceremony texts, write your own or do a combination of both to make this ceremony absolutely your own.

Vow Renewal Ceremony
The vow renewal ceremony is the perfect opportunity for people who are already legally married to re-declare their love and continuing commitment to one another. It is an adaptable ceremony as it is non legal and can contain a religious or non religious element depending on the couple’s wishes. It can be performed by the relevant representative of your religion (Minister of the Protestant Church, a Priest from the Catholic Church, a Buddhist Priest or the appropriate representative of your own religion; ) or by an officiate. You have the option of choosing one of our standard ceremony texts or personalize your ceremony by writing your own vows. You may even wish to use a combination of the two.

Balinese Blessing
Balinese blessing is a spiritual ceremony that is part of Bali traditional custom consisting of a purification body and soul. Balinese Blessing involve some Balinese traditional offering which is full of symbolic and philosophy. The Balinese Blessing is lead by the Priest called Pemangku. This Ceremony if perfect for couples who are willing to let in a spiritual aspect into their union.

Budha Blessing
Prior to Main Wedding, for non Budhist partner will conduct the Ritual of Visudhi Tisarana, an inisation ritual to become Budha. Ceremony will be led by Pandita or Budhist Monk and long duration for ceremony could be up to one hour.
